INVESTMENT OUTLOOK 2015 – Dr Tan Kee Wee
The US Fed is poised to raise US interest rates, in the process tightening liquidity. Yet, the central banks of Japan and EU have done the opposite. How would this affect global interest rates?
Greece is now governed by a left-leaning political party. In the early weeks of its administration, it has sent shivers down investors’ backsides as the threat of a Greek debt default looms larger. Will Greece’s actions encourage more EU member countries to vote for anti-austerity parties?
Is the recent volatility in the global stock markets the beginning of a long-term slide? Attend this talk and hear what Dr Tan has to say about the global stock markets, where the global economies are heading, and what other investment assets like property and gold would do in year 2015.
Dr Tan Kee Wee helps his clients with advice on economics. Prior to that, Dr Tan spent many years in the finance industry as an economist, forecasting the financial markets and global economies.
Dr Tan started off his career in 1988 as a journalist with the Business Times. That was after he secured his PhD in Economics from the University of East Anglia in Britain.
Despite spending most of his career in the business world, he has kept in touch with academia. He continues to teach undergraduates economics on a part-time basis.
